Hello Rob, sorry your having video problems buddy. You may have already tried this but just in case, Have you tried a different HDMI port on the TV? If you still don't have video using a different port I would think you might try a new HDMI cable.

Hello, thx for your answer.

I tried the four different HDMI ports of my tv, and it' still dosn't work.

I also tried 3 different HDMI cables, which work with other devices (computer...) but still doesn't work with my xbox360.

Any other ideas?

Have you tried the console and HDMI cable on another TV in the house? Also as a last ditch effort before you send in for repair, try to unplug the TV for a couple of minutes and see if it resets the bus for the HDMI. And try the console again on the TV.

Hi, Rob555374 could you try the following please.

-

Remove the HDMI cable from the back of your console but leave it connected to the TV, power on your TV, power on your console, connect the HDMI cable to your console.

-

Something else to check is that you are actually using the correct input channel on your TV, I have seen people reporting no signal when in fact they just have the TV on the wrong input source on the TV.

-

I have experience of the above working for quite a few people in this situation but of course there is no guarantee it will for you.

Hi,

I don't have any other HDTV in my home, but i'm almost sure it will work with another TV...

I already tried to unplug the tv for hours so i think the hdmi bus is reset.

I'm sure the input channel on my tv is correct... i have this installation for month now, i know how to use it...

I also tried to "Remove the HDMI cable from the back of your console but leave it connected to the TV, power on your TV, power on your console, connect the HDMI cable to your console." but it doesn't seems to work.

Could it be the official xbox maj which somehow messed up my display parameters ? Or the HDCP signal ?

There's must be a way to make it work but i really don't see how... I begin to be really upset with this thing, just want to play with my xbox like i used to :(

I was wondering if there is any way to access to TVHD parameters of the xbox via component cable? it's "grey" and unavailable for now but maybe there is a list of button to hit on the controller in order to access it ?

I'm not sure if this YouTube video will help you, it goes through the steps to enable display discovery when you can't actually see an image on the display.

I actually already tried that, but i think i need to disable display discovery (this video will help) and set the resolution to 720p (i saw that on another forum, but i don't have the sequence to do it blindly...)

-

Maybe you can give it to me ?

-

BTW thanks so much for trying to help me, i really appreciate that!

-

EDIT : Is it possible to switch between DVI and HDMI in the xbox HDTV parameters?

I have to assume your profile is set to auto sign in, if not then this process to select 720p will vary slightly. So if this doesn't work let me know and I'll post the sequence.

-

Power the console on lol obviously

Wait a few seconds for the console to boot up and your profile to sign in

Press up on the dpad

Press right on the dpad six times

Press down on the dpad once

Press A four times

-

Now depending on what settings you currently have you may need to try this a few times starting with pressing once on the dpad and increasing it to two etc until you hopefully get a display.

-

So press up once on the dpad

Press A twice wait a few seconds and see if you get anything.
